Who are the Personal Learning Coaches?
Personal Learning Coaches might be teachers, classroom assistants, counsellors, library staff, parents, employers and volunteers.

We discourage PLCs from working with young people with whom they have another formal relationship. For example, teachers should not coach their own students: it would be too easy to fall into the teaching role. They can coach students from another discipline, however. Personal learning coaching lets you see the learning experience from the point of view of the student. It can be quite a revelation!
But PLCs have one thing in common: they want to help young people succeed.
